The British Columbia government established a Supreme Court registry at 100 Mile House effective November 1, 1974. It was approved and ordered by Order-in-Council # 3052-1974, dated 1974 Sept. 19. By the same order a registry of the County Court was established at 100 Mile House (County of Cariboo).
On November 7, 1974, OIC 3606-1974 rescinded OIC 3052-1974, and disestablished both registries.
On January 9, 1975, by OIC 0093-1975, effective April 1, Supreme Court and County Court registries at 100 Mile House were established.
The 100 Mile House courthouse ceased full-time operation on 31 May 2002 and became a permanent circuit court of Williams Lake on 1 June 2002. The successor to the 100 Mile House Supreme Court Registry is the Williams Lake Registry.
