Recalls his early teaching years at a one room school. Talks of the inspectors of those days who walked to their schools. Amusing account of hurried preparation for the inspector's visit. Several anecdotes. Tape ends with positive remarks about one room schools; feels consolidation is often a mistake. He also feels that removing the strap was a mistake as the pupils are now in control of the school.
