Travelogue. Made two weeks after the opening of the Big Bend highway and the Banff-Jasper Highway, this film depicts the scenery of British Columbia as seen from the Trans-Canada Highway between Vancouver and Field, with side trips from Jasper to Banff and into the Okanagan Valley.

Footage. Baby and woman in a park. Long sequence on the "General Motors Parade of Progress" (several streamlined trucks at a fairground - presumably some kind of traveling exhibition); faded shots of various people (including Oscar Burritt and Dorothy Fowler) at English Bay beach; trip to Harrison Hot Springs [ca.1938], showing people in car, scenery en route, Harrison Lake, car ferry etc.; scenes of parade marking "May Day, A Day of International Solidarity" [01-May-1938?], including marchers with flags, banners, trade union representation, etc; brief scene of oriental man lifting weights.

Footage. A film showing tourism and commerce in three areas: the Cariboo region around 100 Mile House, Vancouver, and the upper Fraser Valley. Cariboo region subjects include fishing, motoring, horseback riding, boating, hiking, pioneer buildings, a covered wagon, and ranching. In Vancouver the focus is shipping. Upper Fraser Valley subjects include Chilliwack businesses and residences, agriculture, outdoor recreation, Hope area campgrounds, Fort Hope Lodge, hiking, boating, and horseback riding. Visitors cross the Fraser River in a canoe to see a waterfall.

Footage. This is a compilation of footage showing motoring through the Fraser Canyon from Hope to near Lytton. Depicted at length are the canyon gorges and the turbulent Fraser River, as well as the highway and railway routes along the steep canyon walls. Also shows motorists' accommodations en route: Fort Hope Tavern, All Hallow's Lodge (Yale), and Alexandra Lodge.

Amateur film. Harriet Gerry shot this film during an automobile journey from Rosedale to Williams Lake and Soda Creek on the Cariboo Highway, and part of the return trip via the Dog Creek Road, in the summer of 1941. Includes footage of wagons en route to the Williams Lake Stampede; rodeo events (various horse races, bucking broncs, etc.); Indians at stampede playing the team gambling game "lahal". Unidentified Indian village or mission settlement(s); boys at the swimming hole; women display their embroidery; fiddler plays and women with cane dances a jig. Livestock. Dip net fishing in Fraser River. School and convent buildings at St. Joseph's Mission, Williams Lake. Beaver aircraft at dock and taking off from lake. Staff of Williams Lake Indian Hospital.
