History
Robert William Bonner was born in Vancouver on September 10, 1920. He attended UBC before serving with the Seaforth Highlanders during World War II. He returned from the war and completed a law degree, going on to become British Columbia's youngest Attorney-General at the age of 32. After 16 years in the public service, he returned to Vancouver and was appointed President and CEO of MacMillan Bloedel. He also served as Chairman of BC Hydro and was on a variety of boards and commissions over the years.
He died in Vancouver on August 12, 2005.
