History
In 2010, the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources was renamed the Ministry of Energy when some functions were transferred to the new Ministry of Forests, Mines and Lands (OIC 652/2010). The new ministry was responsible for managing energy resources in the province. In 2011 these functions were transferred back to the Ministry of Energy, and it was renamed the Ministry of Energy and Mines (OIC 62/2011).
