He describes many aspects of the area, including transportation, mining, rock drilling, packing, the meat business, a character named Andrew Daney, sports and celebrations such as Dominion Day and Labour Day. His account includes comparisons with the nearby towns of Ferguson, Camborne and Revelstoke.
