Clement Francis Cornwall was a farmer at Ashcroft, BC, a senator, Lieutenant-Governor of BC from 1881 to 1887 and a County Court judge from 1889 to 1906. He died in 1910.

The fonds consists of Clement Francis Cornwall's diaries recording life at Ashcroft Manor and as a senator in 1872 in Ottawa. It also contains Cornwall's bench books from ca. 1891 to 1906 and a letter regarding the precedence of former Lieutenant-Governors.
