Biographical history

Appointed April 20, 1894; report dated May 15, 1894. Commissioners: Chief Justice Sir Matthew Baillie Begbie, of the Supreme Court, and George W. Burbidge, Judge of the Exchequer Court of Canada. Accusations made against the Premier, Theodore Davie, of corruption, were found to be untrue. No witnesses appeared before the commission in support of the accusations.
