Edward William Dossetter was an English photographer who worked in New Zealand before moving to Victoria, British Columbia ca. 1880-1881. Between June and August 1881, he accompanied Dr. I.W. Powell (Superintendent of Indian Affairs for British Columbia) on an inspection tour of Indian Reserves, on the HMS Rocket.

Dossetter returned to England in 1885.
