Dr. Hunter discusses his grandfather's life and character; his conflict with Judge Begbie; the island-versus-mainland rivalry; Richard McBride as premier; W.J. Bowser; Colonel Prior; Joe; Martin; and Thomas McInnes. TRACK 2: Dr. Hunter discusses elections in Victoria; early Victoria; the Legislative buildings; the Empress Hotel; ferries; changes in Victoria; confederation debates; s;ports; Lester Patrick; the James Bay Athletic Association, and the future of Victoria.
