Biographical history
The Conservation and Renewable Energy branch was established around 1979 to promote energy efficiency and to manage the development of renewable energy resources in the province.
Custodial history
In 1983 consolidation of information services transferred budgets and records to the newly created branch Government Information Services. These records were transferred to the BC Archives in 1988 from Government Information Services.
Scope and content
The series consists of a slide show created by the Conservation and Renewable Energy branch of the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources in 1979. The slides show various aspects of the problem of overconsumption of energy and the plans to conserve. It is accompanied by a script and an audio cassette.
