Biographical history
Established March 28, 1945 when the Forest Branch of the Dept. of Lands became the Forest Service of the Dept. of Lands and Forests. The Forest Service retained its name when the Dept. of Lands and Forests became the Dept. of Lands, Forests and Water Resources in March 1962. On Dec. 23, 1975 the Forest Service was transferred to the newly created Dept. of Forests. Ceased to exist April 1979.

This series consists of the records of the Forest Service delegation on the Forest Pest Review Committee containing minutes, technical reports, press releases and correspondence relating to the Spruce Budworm and the use of pesticides.
