History
John Forsyth was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on July 23, 1881. He came to Canada in 1912 and to British Columbia in 1913. In 1920 he was appointed Provincial Archivist and Librarian and served in this role until 1926. He died in Nanaimo in 1955.
