The item consists of an audio interview with Francis Campion recorded in Victoria, B.C. on June 29, 1983.
Tape summary:
Track 1: Francis Campion describes home and chores involved with home on Shelbourne Street. Kitchen is described. Technological changes did not affect mother greatly. Diet is talked about. Father made lunchtime soups. Deliveries included groceries and bread, and garbage was collected as well. She describes working for her mother in the kitchen and her mother's influence.
Track 2: Walked to Northward School for domestic science. Describes class. Did not benefit greatly from it. Left school to help her mother. Worked in a theatre for night work. Talks of her own home on Forbes, the change from wood to electric, and how kitchens are more convenient.
