Alfred Cyril Hirschfeld was born on June 8, 1866 in London, England. He came to British Columbia in 1897 and was engaged in mining in Atlin. He was also a photographer and took photographs in Atlin, Alaska, Vancouver and San Francisco. He married Marguerite Ethel Miller in 1902 and died in San Francisco on November 8, 1926.
