Apple picking; loading filled bins onto a truck. Cider making. Beehives. Collecting pollen from beehives with a pollen trap; selecting, cleaning, measuring and bagging [pollen?] for human consumption. Adding frames to the hives. The brood frame. The series consists of silent films and film footage about bees and bee-keeping in British Columbia, accumulated by the Apiary Branch of the B.C. Dept. of Agriculture. Most of the material was shot by apiarists or bee-keeping enthusiasts; however, there is little or identification of the photographers, shooting dates, etc. Some of the locations and individuals shown are identified in the notes on file.
