John Robert Nicholson served as the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia from July 2, 1968 to February 13, 1973.
Custodial history
The album was transferred to the BC Archives by the Ministry of Education ca. 1979.
Scope and content
Series consists of a presentation album given to Lieutenant Governor John R. Nicholson on the occasion of the opening of Stewart Secondary School on November 22, 1970. The first part of the album contains black and white prints of early 20th century scenes of Stewart BC. Colour prints from 1970 showing views of Stewart, exterior shots of the school and the school opening plaque form the second part of the album.
