Beginnings of CKPG Prince George with Cecil Elphicke, 1945-46; staff and their duties; improvised quarters. TRACK 2: Difficulty finding accommodations in Prince George. Selling advertising for CKPG. Support from listeners. Value of public service announcements to outlying areas. News announcer Keith DeWitt. Shift work. Anecdotes about announcing.
