Beginnings of CKPG Prince George with Cecil Elphicke, 1945-46; staff and their duties; improvised quarters. TRACK 2: Difficulty finding accommodations in Prince George. Selling advertising for CKPG. Support from listeners. Value of public service announcements to outlying areas. News announcer Keith DeWitt. Shift work. Anecdotes about announcing. Discussion of programming (local editorials, commentaries, music) and program schedule. As a CBC affiliate, station went full time. Descriptions of local programs.
