Custodial history
Scope and content
The series consists of probate files created by the Supreme and County Courts in Merritt from 1911-2002. Many of the earlier files were created and managed by County Court in Merritt, while later files were created in the Supreme Court. Probate files often contain copies of the individual's will and were created during the course of administering the deceased's estate. Files are primarily arranged by file number which are assigned in the order probates are filed with the court. Note that different filing systems were used over time.
