This series consists of the records of the Commission on Health Insurance. The Commission was appointed by the government of B.C. in 1919 to study the question of maternity insurance and health insurance. Records include correspondence, proceedings and reports of the Commission and submissions to the Commission. There is also a small quantity of correspondence relating to the distribution of the report.

The file consists of an interim, unrevised report on "The Administration of Mothers' Pensions in British Columbia, 1920-21 to 1930-31. It includes a summary of findings and recommendations with statistical tables appended.

This series consists of records of the Royal Commission on State Health Insurance and Maternity Benefits. The commission was appointed in 1929 to study the question of health insurance and maternity benefits. Records include working papers, exhibits, reports of the commission and submissions to the Commission.
