Appointed September 15, 1898; report dated November 22, 1898. Commissioner: Chief Justice Angus John McColl, of the Supreme Court. Also referred to as “Royal Commission of Inquiry appointed under the "Public Inquiries Act," September 15th, 1898.” Commission was appointed to inquire into the circumstances of the payment of two sums of money under contracts entered into with Frederick Adams and Richard Drake for the performance of work in connection with the construction of the new Parliament Buildings.
