Biographical history
In 1908, by Order-in-Council # 0567-1908 (dated September 1, 1908), the British Columbia government closed the Registry of the County Court at Port Simpson and established the Registry of the County Court at Prince Rupert, effective September 15, 1908.
All County Courts were merged into the Supreme Court on July 1, 1990.

Alphabetical register (1 volume) of mechanics' liens showing date of registration, number (1-ca. 600), name of person against whom the lien is claimed and for whom the work was done, description of the land or goods charged, 1907-1966. There is also an index volume "commencing Jan 1,1967-" which shows the registration number (ca. 600-700), the claimant's name in black ink and the property owner's name in red ink. There are registration forms numbered 689-1157 (1967-1977).
