Biographical history

In 1927 the British Columbia government established a Supreme Court registry at Princeton (Yale Judicial District) approved and ordered by Order-in-Council # 0518-1927 dated May 20, 1927.

Princeton courthouse operations were consolidated into the Penticton courthouse on 31 May 2002. The courthouse was re-opened as a permanent circuit court of Penticton on 1 September 2002. The successor to the Princeton Registry is the Penticton Registry.

The series consists of probate estate files created by the Princeton Supreme Court between 1926 and 2002. Files are arranged by file number which are assigned in the order probates are filed with the court. Note that different filing systems were used over time. Original or copies of wills may be included in the files.
