SUMMARY: "The Bush and the Salon" was a CBC radio series that recreated early Canadian life from letters, diaries and other sources. This episode, "Six Dry Cakes For The Hunted" by George Woodcock, takes place at Fort Assiniboine in the Montana area of the United States, June 1885.
