Scope and content

The item consists of a paper rubbing made around 1970 by Isamu Akino. The work is 9' in length and is made from Japanese paper that has been pressed against the front view of the Elza Mayhew bronze sculpture "Spirit."

Physical condition

The rubbing is made of Japanese paper, which is mounted on to a western paper. In turn, the work is stretched on to a unpainted wooden frame with a sheet of wood on the front.
