He came with his parents from Alberta to Nelson in 1898. He describes the Silver King Mine and smelters in the area. He describes an incident on May 24, 1907, with Charles "Charlie" Sherwin; the steamer races on Kootenay Lake between the CPR's "Kokanee" and Great Northern's "Kaslo". He compares Kaslo, Rossland and Nelson, and discusses liquor licenses. More about Charlie Sherwin.
