History
Francis Holden Shepherd was born in Nanaimo, BC, in 1896. At the time he enlisted in the Canadian Expeditionary Force (4 Jan 1916), he lived in Nanaimo and gave his occupation as “Motorist 'Boat'.” He married Grace Elizabeth Yates in Burnaby in 1925 and they resided for most of their lives in New Westminster, BC. After working for the British Columbia Manufacturing Company since the late 1920s or early 1930s and retiring in the late 1950s or before 1966, Francis Holden Shepherd died in 1978 in New Westminster.
