Arthur Stott interview

SUPPLIED TITLE OF TAPE(S): Amateur swimming and diving in Victoria in the 1920s RECORDED: Victoria (B.C.), 1976-12-02 SUMMARY: Arthur Stott discusses where Victoria's young swam and trained. In pre-Crystal, swimming was outdoors, chiefly at the Gorge, and the season from May 24 to Labour Day. Funds slim, long-distance travel severely limited; strict amateur status.
