The series consists of a filing system which recorded BCHA members in an index card file. The index cards give the member’s name and address, and in many cases the system appears to record the status of membership, membership payments (and/or possibly subscriptions to publications), on an annual basis. Some sections of the card file are labelled with dates, and some with the labels “agents” and “members at large.” Some members were located out-of-province. The original organization system is unclear; it mixes chronological and geographic features.
