The item is a reel of documentary film from ca. 1929. "Hop growing near Sumas in the Fraser Valley, sixty miles east of Vancouver. White and Indian workers. The film shows hop cultivation from early shoots until the hops, picked and threshed in a warehouse, are sacked and loaded onto a truck. Each step is thoroughly explained and depicted. A good film."
