Biographical history
In 1954 the British Columbia government established a Supreme Court registry at Terrace, effective September 1, 1954. It was approved and ordered by Order-in-Council 1549-1954, dated 1954 July 2.
By the same order, a County Court registry was also established at Terrace (County of Prince Rupert).
Currently (to March 31, 2016) the Terrace Registry of the Supreme Court continues as an active registry.
The closed registry at Kitimat is now associated with the Terrace Registry.
