Scope and content
SUMMARY: "Pacific Mosaic" was a CBC Vancouver radio series that looked at the way of life in various B.C. communuities. In the first episode of the series, producer Robert [later Imbert] Orchard describes a trip to the Blackwater River country of the northern Chilcotin to interview members of the pioneering Bryant family. Traveling by the PGE railway, light plane, and horseback, he visited ranches at Euchiniko Lake and Anahim Lake, and interviewed Florence "Bunch" Trudeau, her husband Oscar Trudeau, and her sister Jane Lehman. Mrs. Trudeau and Mrs. Lehman are daughters of Phyllis Bryant, who came to the Chilcotin in 1921 with her husband and growing family.
