Administrative history
The municipality of Williams Lake was incorporated in 1929 under the Municipal Act (RSBC 1924, c. 179). The council was the governing body of the municipality and consisted of a reeve and councilors who were elected annually from the municipality at large. The number of councilors was determined by the number of wards into which the municipality was divided.
