Photograph depicts the corner of Government and Belleville streets during the Peace Day Parade that celebrated the signing of the Treaty of Versailles. This snapshot features a float representing the "Council of Four" (also known as The Big Four). Actors portraying caricatured versions of the United States' Woodrow Wilson, Britain's David Lloyd George, Italy's Vittorio Emanuele Orlando and France's Georges Clemenceau all appear seated around a table in the parade float (in this shot, only 2 of the men are visible). The Big Four were considered the top Allied powers of the First World War and played an important role in negotiations during the Paris Peace Conference, leading to the Treaty of Versailles. At the front of the car are two men dressed as John Bull and Uncle Sam. The car was entered in the parade by the Begg Motor Company.
