Appointed January 6, 1937; report dated July 23, 1937. Commissioner: H. Irvine Bird, barrister, of Vancouver. The Commissioner was appointed to inquire into the administration and management of the Home of the Friendless which operated at Burnaby and West Summerland after complaints were made. The Home provided care for elderly and mentally disabled persons, among others.
