Scope and content

The album was created to memorialize T.R. Pattullo, a miner who came to British Columbia in 1861, and who died in Barkerville in 1879. It is not known whether the album was created by Dally during his time in British Columbia, and then later repurposed as a memorial album, or whether the album was created by using prints owned by Pattullo's friends and his brother William (also a miner), or commissioning new prints from Dally plates that were then owned by Richard Maynard. The photographs are primarily views of the Cariboo Road, First Nations and gold mines and communities in the Cariboo. Several include Pattullo. None of the photographs are captioned.
