Custodial history unknown. Presumed to have been found in the Visual Records department ca. 1972 when the HP numbers were assigned and many of the photographs were copied. The album was accessioned in April 1989.
Scope and content
The series consists of 180 photographs, some loose and most mounted in an album, created from 1896 to 1904. The photographs were taken by A. J. Stone and A. E. Stanfield and include images of hunting activities in Alaska, Cassiar, Telegraph Creek, Dease Lake and River, Liard River, and Stikine River. There are also many images of Indigenous people in those areas. The album is accompanied by a list of the photographs that has been annotated by Archives staff over the years.

The following photographs were missing from their pockets within the album when it was photographed in full, but were inserted within the scanned document directly before or after the empty pocket. They were physically reunited with album after it was photographed. They also have individual catalogued and scanned versions online.
HP075355 (D-08959), HP075358 (D-08965), HP075361 (D-08965).
The following photographs were removed from their pockets for copying in the 1970s and may have been replaced in the wrong pockets: HP075400 (D-09004) and HP075419 (D-09023).
Three photographs numbered in the album as 165, 167 and 176 appear to have been removed from the album before it was acquired.
