Sub-series consists of records documenting Ida Halpern's personal life. They begin with documents from her school days in Vienna in 1933 including school books, correspondence, and ephemera. They document predominantly her life in Vancouver, British Columbia. Genres include personal correspondence, music programs, teaching notes, records from the Friends of Chamber Music, her relationship with the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University, and her involvement with a variety of music societies. The records include 725 photographs covering her life in Vancouver.
